Local library hosts Dr. Seuss party to promote reading
The birthday of Dr. Seuss was observed at the 4S Ranch Library. The Eta Chi chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma, an international society of educators, hosted free activities at the 4S Ranch Library. The occasion was also to mark the National Education Association’s Read Across America Day.
The 4S Ranch Library’s community room was filled with children, parents, grandparents, and others who assisted the youngsters with craft activities related to Dr. Seuss characters. Crafts included a creative shrinky-dink activity, a Fox in a sock, Horton cups and coloring Thing One and Thing Two. There was cake for everyone, too!
