Rolling Hills Elementary School
"Book Club with a Different Point of View" This amazing book club focuses on books with characters facing different disabilities, such as physical or mental challenges. Eta Chi Chapter is proud to sponsor the Rolling Hills Elementary School's "Book Club with a Different Point of View". This book club seeks to promote understanding of those with disabilities. Our $300 check and other donations from our Barnes and Noble Book Fair were used to purchase elementary appropriate novels in which a major character has a physical or mental disability. Students choose one of 5 titles to read and come together to discuss how the character's disability affects them and those around them. The club started with 5th grade and is currently being expanded to include third grade. |
