NEA's Read Across America is an annual reading motivation and awareness program that calls for every child in every community to celebrate reading on March 2, the birthday of beloved children's author Dr. Seuss.
In cities and towns across the nation, teachers, teenagers, librarians, politicians, actors, athletes, parents, grandparents, and others develop NEA's Read Across America activities to bring reading excitement to children of all ages." From: www.nea.org |
Eta Chi Becomes Dr. Suess Characters!
Our chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma participated in this amazing event at the 4S Ranch Library in San Diego by dressing up as the characters in Dr. Seuss's books. We had great fun snapping pictures with the children.

Lots of fun and excitement!
In February 2020, we had over 200 children and their parents participate in listening to Dr. Seuss stories and creating fun Dr. Seuss crafts. Children were treated to colorful cupcakes as they listened to the stories read by DKG members.
